We have a target of reducing absenteeism to 10% or under for all absences; explained or unexplained.  To help with this we will send a letter after the third day of absence. 

Our computer system has text messaging to make it easier to contact parents/caregivers when their children are absent - after the period one check, at about 10.15 a.m. each morning, then each period after that.

It is important that we have the correct number, so if you are unsure, please telephone the office on 237-5465 and we can check this for you.   Please also continue to ring us if your child is away, and confirm their absence with a note in their student diary for when they come back to school.  It really helps to do this!
